What is Hujra?

Metaphorically, it is a small room that is the spiritual sanctuary of a pious man.

Pretentious of me to use this euphemism? I suppose so :-)) I reserve a benign irreverence for all that I respect, love and admire although this vitiates my social skills most of the times. However, it is quite apt since this site is a cyber-reflection of my real Hujra at home which serves as my sanctuary from this imperfect world and creates a 'virtual' harmony between all the confounding and conflicting vectors of life - temptations, frustrations, illusions, disillusions, fantasies, realities, sensations, facts, accomplishments, regrets, remorse, dreams, hopes and fears.... the list goes on.

We are all prisoners of our mind; and I like to make my prison as spacious as possible (Peter Ustinov).
So, here is my sanctuary and you are welcome to explore it.

Humanity on its raft. The raft on the endless ocean. From his present dissatisfaction man reasons that there was some catastrophic wreck in the past, before which he was happy; some golden age, some Garden of Eden. He also reasons that somewhere ahead lies a promised land, a land without conflict. Meanwhile, he is miserably
en passage; this myth lies deeper than religious faith.
